Trainee Underwriting Assistant – Accident and Health

Our client, the city’s insurance and reinsurance organization, is currently recruiting a school leaver or a graduate who has joined their accident and health team as an underwriting assistant.
This role will provide the successful candidate with full training and training support for the certification of certified CII.
Record, process and maintain all risk information, including approvals, in underwriting and document management systems in a timely manner and in accordance with agreed standards.
Detection of missing or erroneous information and further actions with underwriters.
Where necessary, adjust the files in the document management system for each risk and make sure that the records are complete.
Provide other general technical and administrative support in business that may be required, including credit control, assessment of premium income and management of the bordero.
Provide coverage and assistance, when needed, to other underwriting assistants in other businesses.
Provide support for business planning analysis.
Contact the claims team to collect claims reviews and other claims-related reports.
Contact the technical accounting department for processing.

A suitable candidate would be a school graduate or a graduate who is recently looking for their first role in the insurance industry.
